There were 170 participants on site for the weekend with extra Beavers and Cubs there for the day on Saturday bringing the numbers up to 200. The theme of Dungeons and Dragons was carried through the weekend with Dragon’s Tears being awarded to each “Castle member” who took part in the various themed activities such as jousting on space hoppers, greasy pole battles, archery and “musket “ shooting, making swords and shields to name but a few. Sunday morning was wet, muddy and lots of fun with “It’s a Knockout” bouts for the jousting and greasy pole finals, a very muddy assault course and other wet games to conclude. Hot chocolate and a Roast Sunday Lunch followed courtesy of “Inafieldcafe” caterers who kept us very well fed throughout the weekend. The Camp closed with a St George’s Day service and renewal of Promises and once again everyone left with a smile on their face.
