On Wed 3rd Sept 7.00pm at the Porth Hotel, Llandysul Ceredigion Scouts marked the retirement of Midge McGee from the post of Comisiynydd Rhanbarthol (Area Commissioner). Midge has steered the Area for seven year through a period of change which culminated with the 2007 celebrations for the century of Scouting world wide. She will be presented with an engraved cut glass vase.
The presentation was made by Cllr Keith Evans, the Area President, watched by representatives of the 11 Scout Groups in the Area, members of the Ceredigion Scout Council, members of the Welsh Scout Council, Girlguiding and others who have worked with Midge over the years. Midge is now undertaking the onerous role of Area Training Manager, being responsible for overseeing that all waranted Leaders are suitably trained to provide exciting and stimulating training programs for our young members.
