Norman Hill Receives Silver Wolf at Area Forum

Norman Hill, Ceredigion Scout Council Chairman has received the highest award in Scouting, the Silver Wolf.

Norman Hill was presented with his Silver Wolf by Midge McGee the Area Commissioner at an Area Forum in April.

The Area Forum was arranged to discuss the possible reorganisation of the Area into one administrative area. This was then followed by an excellent afternoon run by Clive Bracewell, Field Commissioner, on Retention & Recruitment.

Clive made several presentations about recruitment and retention of leaders and adult supporters in Scouting, which were then followed by small group discussions. The afternoon was very stimulating and those present went away with some different ideas and prospectives to look at increasing the numbers of adults in their groups and districts. Many thanks to Clive for arranging the event.

A tip to remember - even if 12 people will for a candle to light, it takes one person to strike the match!
