The new Scout Group in Pencader has now opened. The leaders, John, Bridget, Julia and Denise, were invested at a recent District Leaders Meeting, by the new Deputy Area Commissioner for Teifi, Yve O'Neil. The new Group is now meeting weekly with a Cub Scout Pack. A Scout Troop is planned for later this year. A Beaver Scout Colony will be opened when more adults come forward to help.
Scouting relies on unpaid volunteers and the many hours that they give up for the young people. Some adults give a few hours each month, many give a lot more. If you would be willing to give a few hours or more to Scouting anywhere in Wales please call 08456 43 06 24 or click here. There are many Scout Groups requiring leaders, helpers, supporters, fundraisers, treasurers etc. across the Area.
In Ceredigion we are also in the initial stages of reopening a Group in Aberaeron and we are looking into opening a Group in Tregaron. We would be grateful of any offers of help or assistance.
