Jamboree 2007 |
Twenty one young Scouts and Explorer Scouts recently spent a challenging weekend at the Canoe Centre in Llandysul. Activities included rock climbing, abseiling and numerous other team building projects culminating in a fun packed (or as one participant described it "AWESOME") weekend for all.
Ten of the participants were selected to attend the 2007 World Jamboree in Highland's Park, Essex, marking the Centenary of Scouting. A further five places may also be made available if finances can be arranged.
The Ceredigion scouts will be included in the five Welsh contingents attending the Jamboree and the next year will need a concerted effort to fundraise for these young people.
