Jamboree Information Evening
On Monday 21st September 2009 there will be a presentation about the Jamboree in Sweden for all interested young people, leaders and parents (and anyone else bored that evening!). The deadline for Youth applications is 30th October so please don’t rush and make any decisions without finding out more. The total cost to attend the Jamboree is likely to fall just below £2000.
Explorer Scout Forum
I would also like to hold a brief meeting of the Area Explorer Scout Forum and Area Scout Forum so that the young people can choose representatives to attend the Welsh Forums (14th November) and when and where they would like to meet next time.
The Forum will comprise of 2 Explorer Scout representatives from each Explorer Unit and all Young Leaders. I would like all the names of those attending by Friday 18th September.

Jamboree Background Information
The 22nd World Scout Jamboree will be held in Sweden from 27th July to 7th August 2011.
Wales Selection Camp which all applicants must attend (unless extremely good reason – apply to Jim ASAP with any problems) 27th to 29th November 2009.
Explorer Scouts who are aged between 14 and not yet had their 18th birthday at the start of the camp can participate. (Adults can also participate as IST). This means they must have been born between 25th July 1993 and 27th July 1997.
I will confirm a venue around the middle of Ceredigion (Aberaeron probably) as soon as I have one! I expect the evening to begin around 7pm and end around 9pm.
